Sound Protection

Unwanted sound is one of the biggest disturbing factors in buildings, directly affecting the users, and the requirements can only be met through careful planning. Especially for residential use, the requirements for structural soundproofing have to be considered from the start, but also non-residential buildings must often take into account protection requirements for some areas.

Particular attention is given to differenciate sound emissions that affect the building from the outside and inner noise sources. (airborne noise, footstep sound and domestic systems).

The sound transmission is mitigated by appropriate structural measures.

A certificate for noise protection is mandatory for the building permit procedure.

The computational sound protection certificate in building construction is carried out according to the DIN 4109 and the VDI directives.
