ENEV/Energy Certificate

The Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV) is regularly updated since 2001 by the federal government as a legislative requirement, which defines both building physics limit values for the quality of the building envelope, as well as the system engineering.

This includes both limits for new construction and for existing buildings for residential and non-residential practices.

The compliance with the particular EnEV specifications, as well as the preparation of this documents, are mandatory for new rental contracts or new acquisitions of real estate properties since 2014, and represent in general an essential condition even for EnEV certificates of public buildings.

The energy consumption or the energy demand of the building is depicted on a chart based on an idealized calculation and supplemented with modernization recommendations for existing buildings.
